JAKE FARMER

Jake's relationship with Maui's ocean spans more than three decades. His path—from tropical fish collector to professional dive guide and instructor—gave him a close view of how equipment, conditions, judgment, and confidence work together.

He created Shallow Water Diving Academy Maui to help fill a practical gap with instructor-led guided experiences, hands-on coaching, supplemental education, and a community centered on respect for the ocean. SWDA course milestones are not scuba certifications and do not authorize independent breathing-system use.

Jake is also the author of The Architecture of an Idea, his independent book about organizing ideas and working with AI tools. The book shares the building philosophy behind his projects; it is separate from SWDA's diving manuals and courses.
