Jake's relationship with Maui's ocean spans more than three decades. His path—from tropical fish collector to professional dive guide and instructor—gave him a close view of how equipment, conditions, judgment, and confidence work together.

He created Shallow Water Diving Academy Maui to give tankless divers something the industry often overlooks: safety education, hands-on coaching, a progression path, and a community centered on respect for the ocean.
