Shallow does not mean risk-free. SWDA combines supplemental education, conservative limits, direct instructor guidance, and a willingness to cancel.
OPERATING CLEARANCE
No course substitutes for qualified supervision or required approval.
SWDA is continuing to obtain the specific training-agency and insurance clearances required for its equipment and operations. No guided water activity proceeds unless the applicable staffing, equipment, location, insurance, and operating requirements are in place.

Prepare on land
Receive orientation to the exact tankless system being used, communication, limits, and emergency procedures.

Build skills in control
Practice breathing, mask skills, equalization, body position, and equipment handling.

Explore with your instructor
Enter open water only when you, the instructor, required program clearances, and conditions are ready.
Shallow by design
SWDA programs never exceed 30 feet. Most beginner water work remains much shallower.
Progress—not permission
Course progress supports readiness but never authorizes independent breathing-system use.
Team supervision
Buddy awareness, small groups, in-water instruction, and surface support are built into the model.
Conditions decide
Surf, currents, visibility, weather, warnings, and lifeguard guidance are checked before each session.
Mālama i ke kai
Hands and fins stay off coral. Wildlife is viewed respectfully, and nothing is removed from the reef.
